biography
Dimitris (1980) is a Greek – born musician. He is a well experienced professional musician with great studies in classical, jazz and greek traditional music in Greece and he has participated in several guitar seminars receiving the 3rd prize in electric guitar in 2003 at Volos (classical & electric guitar seminar at Fountoulis conservatory). He also is teaching guitar and theory in music as he has got a classical music counterpoint Degree, a guitar diploma LCM (teaching diploma) from Thames Valley University (London) and he is a guitar tutor of London college of music examination in Greece. Dimitris was also a music teacher in the music school in larisa, teaching contemporary and greek traditional music.
As a solo / group performer on acoustic/electric guitar, he has
worked with various jazz, funk, rock & blues music groups in Greece such as SWINGING TYRANHAS, MR. BLU, BLUE MATTER etc
His appearances include some of the most popular venues, restaurants and bars in Thessaloniki and Athens.
Dimitris has participated in numerous festivals and seminars in greece such as:
1st Larisa guitar festival, open electric guitar seminar in larisa (blues & rock phrases, use of effects), electric guitar seminar in farsala-larisa (guitar technik, improvisation), electric guitar seminar organized by the RGT in larisa, 1st klimax jazz festival in larisa and many more
